“come with me, don’t think about it”
(yo ho, yo ho a shippers life for me: rory & jess gilmore girls)

Rory: Ten.
Jess: Ten?
Rory: Yeah but I didn’t understand a word of it, so I had to reread it when I was fifteen.
Jess: I’ve yet to make it through it.
Rory: Really? Try it. The Fountainhead is classic.
Jess: Yeah, but Ayn Rand is a political nut.
Rory: Yeah, but nobody could write a forty page monologue the way that she could.
Jess: Okay, tomorrow I will try again, and you will…
Rory: Give the painful Ernest Hemingway another chance. Yes, I promise.
Jess: You know, Ernest only has lovely things to say about you.
Rory: Why are you only nice to me?

roryandjess:

R: Huh, interesting.

J: Yeah, you wanna pay?

R: I dont think Luke new anything about the food last night.

J: That’ll be twelwe fifty.

R: Which means you lied about why you came over.

J: I dont have any quarters im gonna have to give you nickles.

#JESS MARIANO GIVES ME ALL OF THE FEELINGS #because he’s manipulative and screwed up and smart and cares more than he thinks he does #and i have so many feelings on how he and rory are two sides of the same coin #both raised by single parents - but rory has the loving mom and jess has the irresponsible one #rory is the one who has everything going for her but loses it all and drops out of school #and jess has everyone telling him that he’ll be nothing but has a book published by the time he’s 22 #and it would have been SO BEAUTIFUL to watch these two mirrored stories finally diverge #when they are both mature enough for each other and for their relationship #which is (i think) an inherently important and mature relationship in a way that dean-rory and logan-rory never were #unfortunately all of this happened off screen #in my head #but it DID happen

Jess: And Dean would have eaten this?
Rory: Yes, he would
have.

What are you doing here?
I moved back.
What?
I moved back.
But… why?
Just… wanted to.
